Ninety minutes of exercise every morning doesn’t even take the edge off. We come home and the first thing she does is pick up a toy and nose me with it for hours. I actually do have work to do and unfortunately playing with my dog doesn’t pay very well, so I have resorted to trying everything I can think of to tire her out - even if it means messing up my apartment and potentially teaching her bad habits.
The most popular activity we’ve come up with is “Chase the broom”. And I don’t mean just attack it while I’m sweeping like many dogs (and cats) do. We’ve taken it to a whole new level. I had to up the difficulty because Ella’s at a peak level of fitness. Her broom chasing regime involves doggie plyometrics…and my bed.
