I mentioned in my last post how much Ella is living up to her “mommy’s little pup” status, what with the baby food, Dora paraphernalia, and Sassy toy. Well she’s really starting to run with this whole baby identity now. Here she is prancing around unabashedly with a baby bottle in her mouth (another gem she picked up off the streets – I may be an over-indulgent mum but I’m not crazy enough to buy her a bottle, I swear).

Ella sucks on her baby bottle
You know, I can’t fault Ella for embracing the opportunity to have her inner puppy nurtured for as long as possible. Growing up is totally overrated. And kid stuff is so much fun to play with! I still won’t let my mom throw away my stuffed animals that are boxed up in the basement (good thing I don’t have room for them here in the shoebox; otherwise they might be on display). And I wouldn’t mind a baby bottle of my own (if, perhaps, it contained something slightly harder than milk).
Anyway, if Ella were human, she’d only be about 10 years old or so; so, I think it’s ok that she’s clinging to her childish ways. As they say, there’s no rush…
Now if only I could get the boys we pass on the street to stop humping her I could keep her my little girl forever…
