Ella’s Taking Over

Contrary to appearances, I haven’t forgotten that the internet exists. Life got hectic (as life sometimes does) and blogging and social networking…well…who can justify being social when life is so…hectic?!?!

But, never fear because Ella has convinced her furmother that she should really stop being such a control freak and learn to delegate. And so, I have acquiesced and given Ella a promotion. As if Ella didn’t run things ’round here before, now she does it “officially”. Here she is, hard at work laying out the editorial calendar for the blog for the next month. Just look how handy she is with a sharpie.

I'm runnin' things. Woof.

So, if I were you, I’d stay tuned because she’s likely got some pretty great stuff planned. If there’s one thing Ella knows, it’s how to entertain.

Facebook? Anybody?

So there’s this thing called “Facebook” – I don’t know if you’ve heard of it. Tiny little social networking site. Not too many people using it yet. Might catch on one day. All depends on whether it turns out people like sharing photos of themselves with friends and family in their own personal online space. And clearly that remains to be seen.

In the meantime I figure it can’t hurt for Ella and I to create our own space on Facebook – you know, as an experiment. Truth is, we’re pretty lonely talking to ourselves here on this blog and would really love some company. Besides, as much as Ella LOVES to be the focus of attention like she is on Growing Up With Pup, even she would gladly share the spotlight with some equally sweet, mischievous, adorable doggies.

So, if you have a Facebook account already, please locate some of your favorite pup pics and head on over to the Growing Up With Pup page! You can add photos, videos, comments, information about upcoming events, applications…anything you want. It’s OUR page! If you don’t yet have a Facebook account, it’s a breeze to sign up (click here) – just create a username and password, fill in your profile as much or little as you like, and get to posting on our page. Any questions, drop me a line!

They say it takes a village…

and Lord knows I could certainly use the help, so I figured I’d create that village online.

I’m inviting all my readers to join the “Growing Up With Pup” community. It’s a place where you can share your own pictures, videos, and stories about raising your furchildren, as well as discuss the rare problem that may arise – you know, once in a blue moon. You’ve all seen a lot of Ella, and I’d love to see the pups you’re parenting too!

So, when you get a chance, head on over to the village and show off your doggies!

Like the birds, I too must migrate to more fruitful terrain

Sorry for being MIA, but I’ve been busy getting prepared for my big migration – the migration from Blogger to Wordpress! Those of you who are casual web surfers may not have a clue what this means. Good for you (seriously). My fellow web geeks know that Wordpress will ultimately provide a richer blogging experience for me, so I had to bite the bullet.

There can sometimes be some loose ends to tie up as a result of the turnover, so this is just a quick note to let everyone know the following:
